Improvement and Analysis of the Quality of Swiss Wines

Improvement and Analysis of the Quality of Swiss Wines

Agroscope develops production itineraries that express the origin of the wine whilst mastering the complex biotechnological and physicochemical processes of its production. Both oenological and analytical research work is conducted to reveal the aromatic and gustatory expression of the wine as a function of terroir, and to guarantee its physical and microbiological stability when faced with global warming, whilst reducing the use of preservatives such as sulphites. The ISO/CEI 1705-accredited laboratory is tasked by the FOAG with inspecting wines for export. Through its constant involvement in developing faster (infrared), more-specific analytical techniques, the laboratory helps to identify the geographical origin of Swiss wines.
