Sustainable Use of Fungicides in Viticulture

Sustainable Use of Fungicides in Viticulture

Since fungicides account for over 80% of phytosanitary inputs in viticulture, the aim of this project is to reduce these inputs via a systemic approach to fungal vine diseases. This involves developing alternative fungicides to synthetic chemicals and copper, acquiring a better knowledge of the epidemiology of the main fungal diseases of grapevines, and developing tools that enable us to breed resistant grape varieties. The project also aims to develop innovative control strategies by combining these different approaches in order to reduce the use of plant protection products to a minimum.
